News WorkBoat: Autonomous Vessels Could Bring Unexpected Missions

December 3, 2018

WorkBoat Magazine interviewed Sea Machines’ Founder and Michael Johnson and Metal Shark’s CEO Chris Allard during the 2018 International WorkBoat Show, held in New Orleans last week, and published its “Autonomous Vessels Could Bring Unexpected Missions” article based on the conversation. In it the publication writes that the applications for marine autonomy are vast, from ultra-long endurance vessels to complementing navigation crews.

“Autonomous functions will complement navigation bridge crews, effectively extending eyes and ears with their sensors,” said Johnson, in the piece.
