News Sea Machines to Demonstrate BlueTech at WHOI’s 5th Annual Entrepreneur’s Forum

On Thursday, July 18, Sea Machines will demonstrate its autonomous-command and remote-control marine technology aboard an SM300-equipped workboat during the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution (WHOI) 5th Annual Entrepreneur’s Forum, scheduled for July 17 and 18, in Woods Hole, Mass. During the live, on-water demo, Sea Machines will show forum attendees the following mission and behavior-based autonomy exercises:

  • Remote autonomous control,
  • ENC-based mission planning,
  • Autonomous waypoint tracking,
  • Autonomous grid line tracking, and
  • Wireless remote payload control to deploy onboard equipment.

With an event theme of “A Rising Tide,” this 2019 WHOI event brings together thought leaders from around the world. The forum will focus on the challenges the marine sector faces in adopting new technology, while exploring how industry leaders can overcome these hurdles and utilize innovation to understand and wisely use the ocean in the future.
