Sea Machines had the opportunity to exhibit during this year’s Europort, held in Rotterdam, from November 2 through 5, 2021. A special highlight included Frank Relou’s presentation on the first day of the event, from the Innovation Stage, which addressed our industry-leading autonomous marine technology. The presentation summary is as follows:

The need for advanced autonomy in marine applications has grown considerably in the past decade. A number of high-profile incidents have shown how human error can have serious consequences and consequently highlighted how the state of the art in autonomous technology can help prevent these incidents from occurring in the future. The purpose of the presentation is to create awareness around autonomous and unmanned operations, how they mitigate risk on our seas, and increase the operational efficiency and bottom line of operators. Manual operations are still plaguing the industry, while the technology to move the industry forward exists. To understand how Sea Machines is enabling this today, we dive into the technology employed and SM series.
